International Student Financial Aid Options
International students are welcome at educational institutes within the United States and Westwood College is especially excited about your interest in our programs. Unfortunately, U.S. laws and regulations prohibit international students from receiving certain types of financial aid.
At Westwood College we would like to focus on the various financial aid options that you can qualify to receive as an international student!
Loans
Check into getting a loan from the International Student Organization. For more information, visiting their Web site at: www.internationalstudentloans.com.You may be able to apply for a loan from a bank in your home country.
Scholarships
You can also apply for scholarships. There are scholarships that are specifically for international students or particular ethnic groups. Here are some great Web sites to check:Should you decide that you would like to apply for a scholarship, we have a "Scholarship Information Package" available. This packet containing information about the types of scholarships to look for, what to stay away from, and tips on how to fill out your application and write the essay! We will gladly send one out to you upon request.
Family, Friends, and Employers
Family or friends who already live in the United States may be willing to help you work towards your educational goal. They may be able to sponsor you or offer other kinds of financial assistance.Future employers may be willing to sponsor your education. Research some companies that you would like to work for after graduation and present them with a rationale for sponsorship. Let them know why you would be a great employee after your graduation!
