What was your degree and has it been beneficial to your career path?
Information Systems Security; When I finished my degree it improved the marketability of my company to place me on contracts and in roles that with a degree, I was now on paper qualified. It also got me a 20% raise with a college degree.
Do you believe your employer sees your degree from Westwood as an added benefit in having you as an employee?
It really does. With a degree, it increased my billable hour rate, generating more revenues for the company.
Tell us about your current position.
I am the Project Manager of two government contracts in excess of $5 million dollars and 30 people.
What do you like best about your job?
The ability to perform at the highest of all my abilities, both technically and socially.
Tell us what made your Westwood Online College experience posititve for you?
I am a working professional and I have long hours. Westwood allowed me to complete my degree at me own pace.
What do you feel was the most valuable benefit to you going to an online school?
Honestly, it was the convenience of online learning.
Tell us about your experience with the Westwood Online education team: program directors, faculty, curriculum, etc.
The entire staff at Westwood Online was extremely polite and willing to help. The majority of the faculty was extremely attentive to student education; preparing students for real life work experience. The curriculum was relevant to today's technologies, not the antiquated teachings of traditional schools.
Were you able to develop lasting relationships with your classmates?
I have actually hired two of my classmates and they have mentioned that they are forever grateful.
